October 10 & 31, 2016
Workshop Description
My teacher understands me, but other people don’t! This participatory, hands-on workshop, for teachers of English language learners of all levels, will focus on approaches to speech/pronunciation instruction involving areas such as intonation, linking, word stress, and thought groups. Sample exercises and activities for students at various ESOL levels will be presented and tried, and strategies for integrating lessons into your class will be suggested. As a participant, you will begin implementing approaches presented after the first workshop session and will have the opportunity to discuss your work with other participants during the second session. |
